ali larter Ali Larter presents Rule 5 Saturday!Ah, yes!  Today's the day of the infamous Rule 5, from "How to Get a Million Hits on Your Blog in Less Than a Year!" If you're not reading The Other McCain, you're not paying attention!  I'm just sayin' ...

As Robert Stacy McCain succinctly notes, "Everybody Likes a Pretty Girl!" And who can argue with that?  So without further ado ... this week's Rule 5 is brought to you by none other than the gorgeous, amazing, and talented Ali Larter!

Ali Larter (32-23-35), is an American actress, born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on February 28, 1976 as Alison Elizabeth Larter.

Ali began her modeling career at age 14, with the world-renowned Ford Models and traveling the world.  alison elizabeth larter Ali Larter presents Rule 5 Saturday! In 1995, she moved to Los Angeles, enrolling in acting classes at the suggestion of a friend.  In November 1996, Larter portrayed the hoax model Allegra Coleman in Esquire magazine:

Esquire magazine's November 1996 cover featured Allegra Coleman ... "Forget Gwyneth, Forget Mira," the cover declared. "Here's Hollywood's next Dream Girl."

David Schwimmer, star of Friends, was said to be her on-again, off-again boyfriend, although he was getting some competition from Quentin Tarantino who had apparently dumped Mira Sorvino to go out with her. It was even rumored that Woody Allen had completely overhauled his next movie so that she could star in it. "The real thing," the article gushed. "She has it."

"Her nature is spongy and luminescent," the self-help guru Deepak Chopra was quoted as saying. Excerpts from her diary ... "I am having thoughts," one entry read. "Really getting into thinking." heroes ali larter Ali Larter presents Rule 5 Saturday! She seemed to be a mystery. Or, as Allegra herself put it, "It's like Stonehenge, you know? The biggest mystery, totally unsolved."

Hollywood was intrigued ... the magazine received calls from talent scouts, eager to get in touch with the new star. But not all readers were taken with Allegra. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch denounced Esquire for celebrating her obvious brainless vapidity.

In no surprise, it was The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, displaying their "brainless vapidity!" What would we do without the Almighty State-Sponsored Journalists?  I digress ...

NOTE: Rule 5 posts at The Classic Liberal Blog, are treated similar to a blogburst, so I always include the links to all of the other Rule 5 participants.  However, I'm a little ahead of schedule today.  So ... after the Godfather's of Rule 5 (The Other McCain and American Power) post this week's enteries, I'll update the post accordingly.  :-)  Ususally on Sundays.

Last week's All-American Girl was a little slow ... make sure to check it out!

In 1997, Ali Larter appeared in one episode of the sitcom Suddenly Susan, with Brooke Shields.  In 1999, she launched her film career, appearing in the film Varsity Blues.  A film that includes one of her most famous scenes - Wearing nothing but whipped cream, she attempts to seduce James Vanderbeek's character who surprisingly turns her down.  And people tell me sci-fi movies are too unrealistic ... Here's the scene.  You be the judge.
