I don’t think we can ever completely get rid of government, I think in some form or fashion we will need to elect a sheriff, and other government officials to do certain jobs that are natural monopolies.

But I have sort of wondered if the Internet doesn’t make the government less important.  By increasing the people’s access to information and, in a sense “levelling” the playing field, does the internet do as good a job, if not better, at insuring access to services.
